Helsby Golf Club hosted the annual Drive in dinner with great food by our very own HandsomeCarrot chef Peter Rowley and team. There was fabulous music by the group Split Decision and this had everyone dancing the night away! A fantastic evening and thanks to all involved!

Lady Captain 2024/2025 (Pauline Branigan) was delighted to present a cheque for £5,719 to the Alzheimer’s Society. The funds were raised during her year of office and a huge thanks to all involved!

Congratulations to past Lady Captain Pauline Branigan and Lynn Stein who have won the ladies winter league trophy at Helsby Golf Club. They won a closely fought match against the runners up June Ryder and Sharyn Butler. Well done ladies!

We are holding our 42nd annual Powered Wheelchair Appeal competition at Helsby Golf Club on Thursday 12 June 2025. It promises to be a fantastic day so why not join us and help us raise money for local deserving youngsters at the same time?!

Congratulations to Kathryn Hoather who won the Sue Wright Flag trophy today with a score of 70. It was a close competition with Christine Edmunds in 2nd place also with 70 and Gill Sheppard in 3rd place with 72. The trophy was presented by past Lady Captain Carolyn Clothier.

Congrats to Jarmila Lee who won the Derek Leigh Centenary trophy today with a fantastic score of 41. Runner up was Lynn Stein with 40 and in third place was Les Thornhill with 39. The trophy was presented by Lady Captain Viv Nagle. Well done to Jarmila!

Congratulations to Julie Grey who won the Jubilee Plate competition today with a score of 37 points. Runner up was Lady Captain Viv Nagle and in third place was Chris Marsden. Lady Captain Viv presented the trophy (commissioned on 1977) and well done Julie!

We had a great day at the Bert Dyson Wheelchair Classic- £9,000 raised, 4 wheelchairs presented and a fantastic day was had!

Congrats to Heather Faulkner who won the Captains day for Ladies trophy today. She won with a score of 69 in a CPO over Barbara Prince & Chris Marsden. Thanks to Captain and helpers for providing great hospitality at the half way house. Well done Heather!
