Excited to share our new research! We investigated how social class shapes attitudes toward philanthropy and found that individuals from higher social classes view charitable giving more favourably and view it as a solution to societal issues. Jolanda onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ej…

When psychologists claim that something is true "across cultures" they usually mean "true across samples of college students" or "true across samples of English-speaking internet users", but not "true across the thousands of societies documented in the ethnohistorical record".

Proud supervisor moment! My Honours student, Megan Gipey, presented her research at the SASP conference. Her project is on the role of historical knowledge in understanding voting behaviour in the Voice referendum.
