Our first state qualifiers of the day, boys 4x800 meter team of Ryan Ewing, Jonathan Stetchock, Luke Snider, and Isaiah Bitner placed 6th with a time of 7:59.94

Angelina Overfield 7th place in 100 hurdles with a time of 15.67

Maddie Tulley qualifies for states with a throw of 120’9” and a 4th place finish.

Katie Dolinski placed 5th on the discus with a throw of 117’5”

Jiana Patterson placed 5th in the shot put with a throw of 37’1/4”

Madison Altman qualified for states placing 4th in the 300 hurdles with a time of 45.05

Chesnee Smith placed second in the 800 meters with an outstanding time of 2:14.42, second fastest time in program history, and will be headed to states!

SCHOOL RECORD ALERT!!!! Junior Jonathan Stetchock broke the school record in the 3200 meters placing 3rd with an incredible time of 9:23.65 and will be advancing to the state meet next weekend!

Good luck to the Hempfield Area Track & Field team members competing today & tomorrow at the PIAA Class 3A Championship in Shippensburg! Team members include Ryan Ewing, Isaiah Bittner, Jonathan Stetchock, Jake Halsted, Luke Snider, Madison Altman, Maddie Tulley, & Chesnee Smith.

Junior Jonathan Stetchock just broke his own school record with a time of 9.19.89 to place 10th in a loaded field at the PIAA state meet. Congratulations!
