We have had some really exciting news in Cubs. A new resident has arrived in the #birdhouse. The children get really excited when they see it come and go and they wanted to name the #bluetit Pete. We have also made some bird feeders to make him feel welcome.

What a fantastic day Reception had at The Brampton. We are so proud of the children they were amazing representatives of our school. We saw some incredible artifacts and learnt a lot about the past. What a champion day!

A huge thank you to all the new families who attended our Early Years Open Event. It was wonderful to meet all the children who will be joining Hempstalls in September. We are looking forward to seeing you again in the Summer Term on our transition days. #earlyyears

Our Nursery children have enjoyed their special workshops this week for Father's/Special Person Day. We made some lovely crafts, bird feeders and enjoyed the sunshine with our grown-ups. Thank you to everyone who came along. #FathersDay

We have welcomed our special person in for the Father's/Special Person Day Workshops this week. We thank you all for coming and taking part in the activities. The children had a fantastic time showing them their Cubs room.

The Cubs have been learning all about the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar over the last 2 weeks, we have shared the story sack, we are growing our very own caterpillars and we have tasted all the food that the caterpillar ate in the story.

Cubs have been so lucky to watch the life cycle of a caterpillar. We have been taking good care of 5 caterpillars watching them transform into butterflies. Then we released them into our forest school area whilst enjoying the cakes they made that day. 1🦋kept coming back to us.

Yet another Champion Opportunity for our youngest children. Well done to all the children who took part in their first Sports Day supported by ASM Sports.

Today we, y3, had our Mayan workshop to support our History learning & reflect back on what we had already learnt. The children got a chance to dress up as a traditional Mayan as well as other activities including use the virtual reality goggles to explore Mayan temples & places.

Year 5 have been exploring their new class reading book- Viking Blood by AndrewDonkin. They have been exploring what it was like to live during Viking times.

Piano tuition has started today. The children have thoroughly enjoyed starting their musical journey both in #guitar and #piano tuition. #music

Did you know Hempstalls Primary School has its very own #swimming pool? All children swim from age 2-11 and love our weekly lessons.

Choir had a fantastic time last Saturday opening up our local fayre at St Michael's church. They sang beautifully and were a credit to Hempstalls. #championopportunities
