Here’s the setting for this week’s Sun Belt Conference baseball tournament - check out the right field wall.

The Sun Belt is not only a great baseball conference - it’s also a league filled with top notch broadcasters. Calling baseball on the radio is not for everyone - but this league has it.

Baseball update from Montgomery - the Herd’s scheduled 8;30 ET start time seems unlikely - Game 3 is going to start about an hour behind schedule.

SBC baseball update - at 8:05 eastern time, Coastal Carolina leads Georgia Southern 7-1, top 7 - it’s hard to predict an end time since the 10-run rule is a possibility. I’ll give a Herd start time as soon as we know.

9:55 first pitch for Marshall/Louisiana. 9:45 airtime on ESPN 94.1 FM and AM 930 in the Tri-State.

Baseball timing update from Montgomery - Game 3 of the day will begin about 40 minutes late. Marshall and Coastal Carolina are scheduled to play Game 4 at 8:30 eastern time, but they’ll have to be quick in Game 3 for that to stick.

Baseball schedule update (Thursday) - At 7:00 eastern time, Game 3 is in Bottom 5 with Southern Miss up 5-0 on ODU. Approximately 50 minutes between games.

First pitch for Marshall and Coastal Carolina is 8:49 eastern time. We’ll be on the air by 8:40 on ESPN 94.1 FM and AM 930 (and on the app).

Friday Marshall Baseball schedule watch - Troy leads ODU 4-2 in the fourth inning. It has been a slow pace - we’re an hour and 40 minutes in. The scheduled 7:30 ET start for Marshall and Louisiana feels unlikely right now, but who knows?

Friday timing update for Marshall Baseball - at 6:30 eastern time, Troy and ODU are just going into the 7th inning (Troy up 5-2). Looking like a fairly significant delay for Marshall and Louisiana. Approximately 50 minutes between games. I’ll update when we know a start time.

Saturday schedule check for Marshall Baseball in Montgomery - At 11:50 eastern time, Southern Miss leads Troy 2-1 after six innings. There’s a fighting chance that Marshall and Coastal Carolina could start in time at 12:30 ET.

Southern Miss has eliminated Troy 2-1. First pitch for Marshall and Coastal Carolina is set for 1:37 eastern time. 1:27 pregame show on ESPN 94.1 FM and AM 930 in the tri-state. Search “ESPN 94.1” in your App Store to stream the radio call anywhere.

Since Southern Miss has won the other bracket, if Marshall were to beat Coastal Carolina in this next game, the Herd and Chanticleers would meet to decide this bracket 75 minutes after the first game ends.
