“Exercise is important for so much, but it just isn’t going to help you with the weight side of things as much as diet is.” Herman Pontzer reveals why decades of conventional fitness wisdom is wrong, on “Babbage” econ.st/3S2N8tD

“It’s probably responsible for everything that we think about as sort of uniquely human.” Herman Pontzer tells “Babbage” why humanity’s adaptation to hunting and gathering was so important econ.st/3RH5Re0

Triangle friends - I'll be talking about my new book ADAPTABLE and signing books Flyleaf Books next Tuesday May 13. Come join the fun!

With just a few minutes before an appointment, I couldn't resist listening to a few pages of Herman Pontzer's new book "Adaptable". I warmly recommend it to anyone even remotely interested in biology, humans and rational thinking. The writing style & gentle humour are fantastic.

I should be working, but I need a break, and what can be better than listening to a few pages of Herman Pontzer's Adaptable? I just got to what fascinates me the most, even after losing over half my body weight: "Why there is too much of too many of us" Nicely put!

I should be working, but I felt I needed a walk (from my front door to my window and back...) and I am listening to Chapter 8 of Herman Pontzer's "Adaptable". His humour is irresistible. Here👇on the aquatic ape theory:
