Week #1 of the Halifax Public Gardens Bird Tour was a great start! I reunited with many returning attendees and saw some new faces in today’s group of 9! Together, we spotted a baby Crow, Nuthatches, Chickadees, Blue Jays, a Cardinal, Starlings, Sparrows, and more. halifaxnoise

Week #2 of the Halifax Public Gardens Bird Tour echoed the success of last week 🦆A feisty group of 7 came out to spot some birds. We ended up finding a Red-eyed Vireo, some Mallard ducklings, Crows, a Cardinal, lots of Song Sparrows, European Starlings, a Pigeon, and a couple Gulls!

Week #3 of the Halifax Public Gardens Bird Tour featured awe-inspiring bird activity as we approach the solstice. Six attendees and I found a Downy Woodpecker nest with a peeping fledging peeking out. We also saw some new ducklings, Nuthatches, Robins, Song Sparrows, Grackles and more!

The Halifax Public Gardens Bird Tour Week #4 was one to adore. We saw Cardinals, ducklings, Song Sparrows, and more!

I spent an hour wandering the Halifax Public Gardens today and all I can say is WOW! Everything looks fabulous - including the dahlias. We're so lucky to have such a spectacular garden in the heart of the city. And for the inside scoop, join one of the free daily garden tours.
