Yesterday we held out KS1 Sports Day, children took part in a range of activities and races and there were lots of stickers to be won. Well done to everyone in KS1.

Year 5 visited Liverpool today and have been on a scavenger hunt of famous landmarks around the Albert dock and shared lunch with a group of hungry seagulls, before exploring the remains of mummies in the museum and experienced the wonders of the universe in the planetarium.

In Fridays Careers assembly we welcomed PC Stoney and PC Summerfield into school to talk to the children about a career in the police force.

Last week our catering team dedicated the week as ‘salad bar week’ offering children new healthy treats to try each day. Day 1 was red pepper humus, veggie flowers and turmeric and chocolate chilli bread.

The catering team continued through the week promoting healthy foods with craved watermelons and a vegetable display to encourage children to try a range of healthy foods.

As an extra special treat the catering team even created a veggie skeleton and offered lots of fruity treats to end the week.

Some more pictures of the fabulous display of fruits and vegetables available for children to try last week. We had a fruit train as well as orange water and cucumber and basil flavoured water. Thank you to our catering team for a great week of healthy food.

This morning we held our final Shining Stars Assembly of this academic year. We were proud to give out 84 certificates for 100% attendance this term, 19 certificates for 100% attendance all year, 21 most improved attendance and 39 shining stars awards. Well done all

This afternoon we said goodbye and good luck to Miss Benson. Miss Benson is leaving High Crags after 4 years of working in Key Stage 1. We want to wish her all the best in her new role and thank you for being part of our team.
