Last night Hillingdon Council called on Government to refund the £16M of asylum costs incurred. We believe it is unfair for Hillingdon taxpayers to have to fund this national immigration mismanagement; with Hillingdon forced to 1 in 10 asylum seekers who arrive at Heathrow.

Typical of the new Hillingdon Labour Deputy Leader taking any opportunity to discuss issues with her media friends. She is more concerned about her own position than impact of asylum costs on Hillingdon residents. Denying reality and unable to listen to or deal with the facts

We have always been aligned with Cllr Cllr Peter Curling in our steadfast opposition to a 3rd runway at Heathrow. However the new Hillingdon Labour Leadership have already proven themselves to be performative bandwagon jumpers who will do anything to advance their own careers.

Sadly I think you may be correct. It seems as if the cross party work on this is collapsing. I’m very sorry to the comments from the Deputy Leader of the Labour group and my MP about the proposed closing of the minor injuries unit at Mt Vernon is faux outrage!
