The problem with whacking up taxes on successful people is they just leave Then everyone else has to pay more, in a vicious circle That’s where Labour has got us in just 12 months - see graph below These people take money, tax revenue, expertise & creativity out with them

MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY. This means there has been a defection on the issue of the 3rd runway as at least one Cllr who was previously a Back Heathrow supporter voted for this motion tonight. Welcome to the campaign, Cllr Nelson-West. #No3rdRunway #Hillingdon

Last night Hillingdon Council called on Government to refund the £16M of asylum costs incurred. We believe it is unfair for Hillingdon taxpayers to have to fund this national immigration mismanagement; with Hillingdon forced to 1 in 10 asylum seekers who arrive at Heathrow.

Typical of the new Hillingdon Labour Deputy Leader taking any opportunity to discuss issues with her media friends. She is more concerned about her own position than impact of asylum costs on Hillingdon residents. Denying reality and unable to listen to or deal with the facts

We have always been aligned with Cllr Cllr Peter Curling in our steadfast opposition to a 3rd runway at Heathrow. However the new Hillingdon Labour Leadership have already proven themselves to be performative bandwagon jumpers who will do anything to advance their own careers.

Sadly I think you may be correct. It seems as if the cross party work on this is collapsing. I’m very sorry to the comments from the Deputy Leader of the Labour group and my MP about the proposed closing of the minor injuries unit at Mt Vernon is faux outrage!

Sadly it seems that the cross party working on local issues that has been always been a hallmark of Hillingdon is breaking down. Mount Vernon minor injuries unit. What next Heathrow third runway? I hate to say it but we seem to be entering student politics.

The closure of the Urgent Care Centre at Mount Vernon doesn’t just affect residents in Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner. It’s great to have the support of Gagan Mohindra, who joined me to tell me more about how the closure will hit his constituents in South West Hertfordshire.

Sadiq Khan closed Uxbridge Police Station and people had to travel to Hayes to report a crime. The Labour Mayor of London is now planning on closing Hayes Police Station front counter - abandoning Hillingdon residents again - despite increasing levels of crime under his watch.

Local award winning parks like Cowley Recreation Ground and Pole Hill Park will be at risk from these reckless attempts to build more houses to meet Labour targets in Outer London

Cllr Ian Edwards, Leader of the Council, is urging the Mayor of London to reverse the planned closure of the front counter at Hayes Police Station. The move, along with previous closures in the borough, would leave Hillingdon without local access to face-to-face police services.

Hillingdon Conservatives remain opposed to Labour’s plans to expand Heathrow Airport. We will continue to be on the side of local residents and stand up to any Government pushing these proposals that would decimate local villages.
