We are only a week away from Kali Puja, the worship of the fierce mother goddess. Below is a 1938 oil painting by Prahlad Karmakar, who served as professor in the Department of Commercial Art at the Government College of Art and Craft in Calcutta, called Village Kali Puja.

Really enjoyed this conversation with HindolSengupta. No fluff; just solid stuff all along. Reminded me of our first recording together nearly 10 years ago on ‘Being Hindu.’
