It's Flood Awareness Week! Be prepared and be proactive with these valuable tips from FEMA!

Near record high temperatures can be expected for the remainder of the week and on through the weekend. In addition to the heat, there is also a high rip current risk along Gulf facing beaches. Avoid swimming if possible. If you do swim, make sure it is done near a lifeguard.

EXTREME HEAT ALERT: Increasing temperatures can be expected today and over the weekend with inland highs approaching or exceeding 100 degrees. All heat safety precautions should be taken during this potentially dangerous heat event.

Now is the time to prepare for a hurricane! Please don't wait until there are shortages on the shelves and time has run out. Check out noaa.gov/assemble-disas… for a complete list of everything you might need in a hurricane kit and plan accordingly.
