If you wanted to do a parade or celebration, you could've easily planned and done it a few days later. What was the rush to do it within 24 hours? But who cares about the fans? Who cares about the common people? This stampede will just get forgotten like the recent stampedes.

When you're in India, it's always safe to stay away from the crowd as much as possible or you will end up finding yourself between such chaos for no fault of your own due to some people with no civic sense.
