In the last couple of weeks, military trial prisoners suffering from severe skin infections due to multiple insect bites, caused by poor cleanliness & lack of repellent sprays. No medical care provided or any precautions taken to address the dire situation.

The outbreak of the severe skin infection in the so-called high security cell is further aggravated by the extreme weather. 12 prisoners compelled to use one old and half functional cooler with power outages. The neglect and singling out of military court prisoners continues.

76 yr old Brig Javed Akram sb, an elderly military court prisoner,faces multiple unattended health issues despite deteriorating condition. Not shifted to a proper hospital despite repeated requests. Standard pattern of discrimination and apathy.

My mother shared the horrible conditions Chairman Imran Khan is facing in jail. Deeply concerned. The mistreatment amounts to custodial torture. The silence of international & local human rights organizations is concerning & unconscionable.

The convictions by ATCs Sargodha & Lahore showcase the oppression & persecution prevailing in our justice system presently. These are bound to fail; for not only being unsustainable in law but also because these cant break the resolve of Chairman Imran Khans loyal support base.

Even during oppressive military custody, when Quran access was restricted, we were allowed Wudhu 2-3 times a day. Disturbing to hear Chairman Imran Khan being denied even this basic right & given dirty water for Wudhu. Shame on superintendent Adiala Jail.
