Hamish McLean What's an example of a corporate crisis being handled well? Hamish Mclean says Arnotts "basically wrote the textbook" on how to do crisis comms after its famous tampering/extortion incident in the 90s: "they destroyed all the biscuits on shelves of the eastern seaboard of Aus"

Mclean: "(Arnotts) did a symbolic crushing of the biscuits under a steamroller to show, 'hey although we're pretty sure no one is going to be poisoned by our product, we are taking them off the shelf'. It cost them a fortune but it was far more important no one was harmed."
