We start our State Track announcements with Mariah Shepherd! The Holdrege High sophomore broke a school record en route to qualifying for the NSAA State Track Meet. Her mark of 36'4.5" will make her the second best Triple Jumper in Class B! Good luck Mariah!

Our next state qualifier is another sensational sophomore in Kambryn Vaughn in the pole vault! She qualified with a vault of 10'8" which ties her for the fourth best qualifiying height in Class B! Good luck Kam!

The next state qualifier is no newbie to the NSAA State Track meet! Junior Emily Stutzman is back after qualifying in the 800M Run, and the 1600 M Run. She looks to earn a spot on the medal stand as she is ranked 5th and 7th in respective races! Good luck Em!

Accompanying her sister down to Burke is Junior Addy Stutzman! She qualified in the discus with a toss of 122'3" and will go in with the 12th best mark! Good luck Addy!

Senior Gabby Rooks has been to Burke Stadium a time or two and she returns for her senior season! She qualified with the fifth best throw in the discuss at 127'07" and will also compete in the shot put! Good luck Gabby!

Dick Vitale would call him a diaper dandy! Freshmen Sam Mcquistan will make his first appearance at the NSAA State Track Meet and will enter with the 11th best qualifying time in Class B! He will also join his running mates in the 4x800 relay as well! Good luck Sam!

Pole Vault High continues for HHS with two vaulters! The first vaulter, Rylan Landin, will look to compete for a podium spot as he enters with a height of 13'6" which is the 7th best qualifying height! Good luck Rylan!

Following his teammate to Burke is fellow vaulter Brady Ham! The HHS Senior also enters with a height of 13'6" and will look to end his Duster career with a medal. Good luck Brady!

And finally, the 4x800 relay consisting of Michael Golus, Sam McQuistan, Christophe Taylor, and Roman Urbom will chase a podium spot in Burke! Their time of 8:11.00 ranks them as the 6th best time in Class B! Good luck gentlemen!

As the school year closes, we'd like to recognize Josh Janssen for breaking the season and career records for goals scored. Josh ended his senior season with 21 goals and 40 in his entire career! Congratulations Josh on a successful Duster career!

KIDS CAFE FREE SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM

This is your reminder that summer weights start on Monday June 2nd for both junior high and high school. Since there is varsity football camp from 7-9:30AM the whole week, group 1 will lift at 10:30am Monday, 9:45AM Tuesday, and 10:30AM Thursday. See you then! Holdrege Public Schools
