The 8th Fighter Squadron painted their F-16 Viper flagship a sleek matte black in honor of the F-117 Nighthawk previously located at Holloman AFB. The F-117 remains an iconic symbol of stealth technology and was retired in 2008.

Members of the 29th Attack Squadron volunteered 250 hours at the NM School for the Blind and Visually Impaired to create a multi-sensory garden. It was part of the Casa "Big Give" project involving 16 teams from Holloman who completed community service work in the local area.
