Today, I had the honour to co-chair the SJF Management Group Meeting alongside the DSRSG/RC/HC. We discussed progress, funding priorities, & how to sharpen our collective delivery under the Somalia Joint Fund. Strong partnerships remain key to Somalia’s development. UN in Somalia

I had a fruitful meeting with ministers from the #SSCKhaatumo Administration at MoPIED. We discussed advancing development projects in SSC regions, their role in implementation of the National Transformation Plan (#NTP2025_2029), & enhancing institutional collaboration.

Today, I presided over the opening of the Pillar Working Group meeting under #Somalia’s National Transformation Plan (#NTP2025_2029). Day 1 focused on the #Transformational #Governance pillar—discussing #constitutional review, #justice, #humanrights, #elections & #stabilisation.

Today, I officially launched the 2nd Edition of the Somalia Economic Outlook. Despite global shocks, Somalia achieved 5.1% average GDP growth (2004–2023). The report calls for inclusive growth, resilience, and smarter investments to drive our #NTP2025_2029.
