I Inspected the Examination for Post Graduate Doctors Candidates, who had applied to go for studies in the Ethiopian government Universities of Science and Technology, in different disciplines. Over 50 Candidates out of 80 applicants are sitting for the Exam.

As part of enhancing healthcare in South Sudan, I today joined the Vice President of Infrastructure H.E Taban Deng Gai and the Minister of Roads and Bridges Hon. Simon Mijak to Inspect the newly constructed road leading to Gudele General Hospital.

Yesterday, I visited Upper Nile State. The visit was an effort to assess the general health situation, and the living conditions of the IDPs, and returnees from Sudan. I was accompanied by the Undersecretary Hon Ader Machar Aciek and the representative from WHO and Unicef.

Today, I had a cordial meeting with the visiting Unicef Deputy Regional Director for Eastern and Southern Africa Region, Mrs Rania Dagash, who was accompanied by the Unicef Country Representative, Mrs Hamida Lasseko, and the Director for Immunisation.

On September 7, 2023, I joined the AU, UN, IGAD, and regional experts on the sidelines of the UN Conference on Climate Change, taking place in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi. The symposium discussed climate financing for children and building momentum for a resilient future

On September 20, 2023, at the UN General Assembly in New York, I attended a high-level meeting on pandemics, prevention, preparedness, and response. Over 90 heads of state gave statements. I made a statement on behalf of the government of South Sudan.

20th September 2023, New York. Along with members of the Committee of Health in Parliament and Technocrats from the Ministry of Health, we held sideline meetings with UNICEF, USAID,& CARTER CENTER, who are the major contributors & implementers of health services in South Sudan.

I was honoured to speak for this year’s #SDGActionZone. The panel was held under the theme "How do we know what is working?" I thank Anana Bjerde, the World Bank managing director of operations, and Nahla Valji, the UN senior advisor, spotlight with whom I shared the symposium.

It was an honor to have been invited to the special dinner hosted by the UNICEF Country Office. I was so grateful for the opportunity to share & interact with everyone, particularly the UNICEF Regional Director for East & Southern Africa and delegates from other line ministries.

I met the former Minister for Health, Dr. Riak Gai Kok, in my office. The meeting was cordial, as we exchanged a lot of ideas on health institutional projects that are under implementation as well as future aspirations in the health system of the country. I thank Dr. Riak Gai.
