🥇🥇Congrats to @Danielle_VHowe (@LaTrobe_SES) for winning best poster and Brooke Hoolihan (UON Exercise & Sports Science) for best mini oral presentation at Defence Science and Technology Group - Australia's 2021 Defence Human Sciences Symposium. Very well deserved!

Very excited to have presented at Defence Science and Technology Group - Australia’s 2021 symposium 😁 and what an incredible surprise to win best mini oral presentation amongst some of the best research in Defence 🥇

First milestone of my PhD finally complete ✅ thanks to Benjamin Dascombe Kane Middleton and Jon Wheat for all your support 🙌 now bring on the next 2 years of my candidature 📚

It was a massive month to finish up data collection for my PhD 😮💨 12 hour days full of sweat and tears will all be worth it very soon! Bring on the data processing 😅 Thanks to the best lab group Kane Middleton Eduardo Cofré Lizama @Danielle_VHowe Patrick Slattery Corey Perrett

Data collection done and dusted for my PhD ✅ A huge thanks to everyone who helped out over the last 4 weeks @Danielle_VHowe Patrick Slattery Eduardo Cofré Lizama Kane Middleton Jace Corey Perrett Kurt Mudie Richard Molloy and Greg Bring on data processing 😎

What a start to the Applied Biomech Lab's (La Trobe SPAN Research Group) UK road trip. We started with a visit to our partners at Sheffield Hallam University where we toured their Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre and presented at a SHU-LTU themed symposium

Day 4 saw us visiting University of Chichester for the International Occupational Performance Symposium. Thanks to Sam Blacker for the opportunity to give an overview of our group and occupational work

We finished the week in Portsmouth at the University of Portsmouth Research and Innovation (R&I) Showcase. It was great to see the work being done by the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Science. Well done to Gemma Milligan on the day!

Was great to share some of the load-carriage and tech work we have been doing recently. Looking forward to seeing more of our work presented by Jace Benjamin Dascombe Danielle Vickery-Howe Patrick Slattery and Brooke Hoolihan tomorrow ICSPP 2023 DSEI 2023 was pretty cool too.

Thursday marked the end of ICSPP 2023. It was great to share the work being done by the La Trobe SPAN Research Group Applied Biomechanics Lab + special guests.

To round out the session, Brooke Hoolihan presented on the effects of biological sex and load on coupling variability.

Last week I attended the ICSPP 2023 conference and presented my PhD work on the effect of Biological sex and load on coupling variability during load carriage 📈 grateful for the opportunity to share my work and meet leading experts in the field 🤝
