We’re off to a great start! Day 1 of #chiwork2024 at Northumbria Uni Northumbria CIS Dept. is in the books. (And no I haven’t dyed my hair green… yet!😅)

In the afternoon, the full conference kicked off with an inspiring keynote from Mark Graham 🌃✨ who talked about Fairwork and his upcoming book “Feeding the machine” #chiwork2024

The day ended with our new Conversations track, a track for provocations from new ideas + existing work. We heard from Anjali Mohan at INDÉ who got us thinking about the impacts of tech and AI on sustainability and cities, particularly for blue collar workers #chiwork2024

And we also heard from Duncan Brumby and Prof Anna L Cox alt.chi #chi2024 paper, who got us thinking about knowledge workers and the impact AI can have on their work if it suddenly made intentional mistakes - how and when do we check its content? #chiwork2024
