Air Force Junior ROTC Black Knight Cadets of Houston County High and Warhawk Cadets of Veterans High recently earned an overall unit assessment score of “Exceeds Standards," the highest rating attainable, during a recent formal unit evaluation by the Department of the Air Force.

Mrs. Jessica Story was recently named as the Houston County School District’s Media Specialist of the Year. Mrs. Story is a media specialist at Hilltop Elementary School in Bonaire. She will advance to represent the Houston County School District at the regional level.

Dr. Karen Phillips, a teacher at Westside Elementary, received a 2023 Professional Association of Georgia Educators Educator Grant. With these funds, Dr. Phillips will enhance math instruction in grades 3–5 to increase fluency, understanding, & application of math practices.
