Very sad, but not at all surprised, to hear of the closure of BerkshireLive. I've got some amazing memories from the print days and the excitement from the relaunch. I hope all those affected are able to find new roles and continue with their journalism careers.

In other news, I’m absolutely gutted to learn BerkshireLive is to close. I was the first ‘digital only’ person to work on it as Get Reading back in 2006. On it’s day it was the biggest news site for miles around. Thoughts firmly with all my former colleagues affected.

Good to see two years on this Edible Reading fellow, who I'm pretty sure I've never met, is still making jibes at me. It's true I certainly wish I was as good a writer as he thinks he is.
