Year 3 have finished their plants topic by showing the different way seeds can be dispersed,

Year 1 have been learning about arrays, where we have identified the columns and rows and worked out how many counters we have altogether!

3A are looking at the artist Gustav Klimt. They are creating sketchbook pages including a piece of his work and some key facts.

A wonderful afternoon at the Arooj ceremony. Our pupils received remarkable recognition for their creative writing in short stories and poetry. We also had some students perform as a choir at the prestigious event! They have done us all at HMPS very proud👏🏼 well done!

We have been creating in nursery again this week. Inspired by Matisse and 'Norman the slug with the silly shell'.

It's very exciting in nursery! Look the caterpillar's have made chrysalis's. We can't wait until they transform into butterflies.

3A have become geologists. They have had a great time sorting, describing and naming the different rocks.

Reception have got some very special visitors this week. The ducklings are here for two weeks and we were lucky enough to even see them hatch on Tuesday and Wednesday! 🦆🦆

Year 1 have been learning about sun safety before we take a trip to the beach in summer 2. We explored a range of sunglasses and their properties before creating our own “it’s darker when you look through the rainbow sunglasses”

Year Two have been learning about the book Lila and the Secret of Rain. In their hook lesson, they looked at the way Tanzanian ladies carry things on their head and used different mediums to create some art work.

We have butterflies! This life cycle has been so interesting for the children to observe and lots of talk has taken place .

3A are having a busy morning investigating equivalent fractions.

We have been learning fractions in maths this week. We have learnt how to half and quarter using objects, shapes and numbers. Here we are hard at work.

Year 6 has been busy making bracelets for our Grow £5 stall on #numeracyday2025

What a wonderful experience for our Reception children to see our eggs hatch and turn into ducklings! We have done lots of learning about the life cycle of a duck and spoke about how our ducklings had grown in the time we had them.

Year 1 have been busy learning about the seaside! We have experimented, learnt about the world including oceans and the continents, shared seaside stories and poems, made a shell for our hermit crab and learnt about a variety of seaside animals.

Thank you to our community champion in 1B for coming in and spending some time reading with the children. They loved every second!

Nursery have so enjoyed our Minibeast topic! We have ended the half term with lots of butterfly linked activities.
