Town of Huntington resident, Ellie, is 9 years old and already making a difference in her community. Last year, Ellie reached out to the Town’s Anti-Bias Task Force expressing her interest in filming a PSA emphasizing the message that hate has no place in Huntington.

Long Island winter has been pretty good so far & Highway Superintendent Andre Sorrentino, wants to keep it that way. Andre crossed town lines to meet with chief weather prognosticator herself, Niblet, to discuss her plans for Groundhog Day & to weigh in on the pending forecast.

Andre and Niblet agreed to trade 5 more weeks of winter for an early spring so Huntington can get an early start on pot holes and road repaving!

The Town of Huntington is hosting a FREE Boating Safety Certification Course in May. Attendees who register, attend the full 8-hour course, and pass the test will receive a NYS Boating Safety credential issued by NYS Parks. Adults and Minors (Age 10 & up) welcome!

According to the US Geological Survey, this morning at approximately 10:30 am, the New York metropolitan area experienced a 4.8 magnitude earthquake. The epicenter was located in the North Central New Jersey area, around Tewksbury.
