Since last year I've had the privilege of serving on the Early-Career Advisory Board of Chemical Reviews to help promote cross-cutting science. In that capacity, I wrote this highlight on a recent review of Topological Metamaterials by Andrea Alú & coworkers: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Really excited to share this new work with Wenxiang Ying , rb.gy/bsx6kt in which we explain why the cavity-modified rate constant often closely follows the optical signal. spoil alert: Eq. 17 is an analytic rate constant that contains lineshape expression!

Researchers from Huo Group University of Rochester and Krauss Group at Institute of Optics University of Rochester Chemistry Department demonstrate upconversion of #photoluminescence in 2D cadmium selenide (CdSe) nanoplatelets strongly coupled to #FabryPérot (FP) optical cavities. @UofR #OpenAccess: go.acs.org/apU

Generation of CdSe nanoplatelet exciton-polaritons at room temperature demonstrates these nanoparticles have excellent potential for future quantum based technologies. Krauss Group Learn more 👇 aippub.org/3XlBb5q

Excited to share the first publication from the Son group! We discuss how ultrafast spectroscopy can help unravel the exciting photophysics that take place in exciton-polaritons. @chemphysrev BU Chemistry pubs.aip.org/aip/cpr/articl…

Yijing was my faculty mentor at HKUST -a brilliant mind in open system quantum dynamics and one of the most rigorous theoretical chemists I’ve ever met! Grateful to The Journal of Chemical Physics for this special issue in his honor-proud to be a guest editor. Please consider submitting your work!

Really exciting time! Arkajit Mandal, you'll be extremely successful in the coming years! Super proud of you!

Today, Braden Weight (Ph.D in Physics) defended his thesis and graduated! Braden is my first Physics Ph.D. (and the 4th one in our group)! One of the highlights of his work is actually published in J. Am. Chem. Soc. ! Braden, great job! Really excited about your next Chapter at LANL!

With the relationships between all the most popular polariton Hamiltonians clearly derived in one place, cavity polariton theory becomes more accessible for both new and established researchers. Huo Group @UofR Learn more 👇 aippub.org/4kDY8L0

Super proud to see Braden Weight being recognized by this award for his Ph.D work! Nice collaboration with Krauss Group, Weix Group, and Zac-Tonzetich through our Polariton CCI. Also, huge congrats to Alana Huynh from Kara Bren group and Benjamin Partridge group!

Today, Wenxiang Ying from my group successfully defended his thesis. Wenxiang's work profoundly impacted our group's way of thinking about molecular polaritons. Wenxiang will head to UPenn and work with the legendary Abe Nitzan for his postdoc. Wenxiang, we'll for sure miss you!

Today, my first optics Ph.D. Mike Taylor graduated! Mike is an NSF GRFP recipient. His thesis work is related to the quantum theory of light-matter interactions. Mike will head to Los Alamos National Laboratory for his postdoc! Super proud of your achievement!
