Our first keynote speaker is Tord Aslaksen from Green-bay for the session on Technology for gear removal. He and his team has specialized on gear retrieval using ROVs and has removed > 5000 ghost gear items along the Norwegian coast over the past 4 years.

Joel Baziuk, the Associate Director of the Global Ghost Gear Initiative (GGGI) will open the ghost gear conference! Among others, he has been in numerous working groups on ghost gear and has experience from the fishing industry and with fish net recycling. GGGI
