From 18th to 21st February 2025, the ICRC delegation in Kampala is conducting a training with the Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces at the Legal Training Centre in Jinja. Topics to be covered include; principles of conduct of hostilities and protection of civilians population among others. Office of The UPDF Chief of Defence Forces



To ensure safe and sustainable water supply to local communities and preparedness in case of refugee influx, with MINISTRY OF WATER AND ENVIRONMENT 🇺🇬 & support from Uganda Red Cross Society, we are improving and extending water supply systems in Bundibugyo district along DRC border #WaterDay2025 ICRC Africa

On the 5th June, the ICRC visited the Uganda Red Cross Society Branch in Pallisa. This follows our support for the construction of a new office space after the branch building was burnt down in 2023. The Branch Board, staff, and the community appreciated the ICRC's intervention.


As part of supporting the teaching of IHL in universities, the ICRC today donated books to Cavendish University in Uganda.These books will go along way to help students make reference to them in their IHL course. Cavendish University Uganda ICRC Africa
