Law students from UNILAK_Rwanda Rwamagana Campus joined the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Youth Dialogues organized by the ICRC_Rwanda & Rwanda Red Cross to reflect on their role in promoting respect for IHL and advancing its national implementation.

On 16.09.2025, UNILAK_Rwanda law students actively engaged in the International Humanitarain Law (IHL) Youth Dialogues organised by ICRC_Rwanda & Rwanda Red Cross, highlighting how tomorrow’s leaders can drive the development of IHL and shape tomorrow’s humanitarian landscape.

Today,ICRC_Rwanda & Rwanda Red Cross held the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Youth Dialogues Kigali Independent University ULK, involving law students on academia’s role in advancing IHL.The event enhanced knowledge, built capacity & inspired future humanitarians to promote respect for IHL worldwide.

Today, ICRC_Rwanda & Rwanda Red Cross hosted International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Youth Dialogues with law students from MKU Rwanda ’s new School of Law,empowering the next generation to champion humanitarian principles & ensure IHL is respected & applied where it matters most.

Last year, Brazil, China, France, Jordan, Kazakhstan, South Africa, and the ICRC launched the Global Initiative on humanitarian law. They now call to end IHL violations and announce their plan to hold a 2026 high-level meeting to uphold humanity in war. ms.spr.ly/6016sUbqi
