Nurses in NSW are taking industrial action tomorrow. Why? The NSW Government won't budge on their, frankly insulting, 3% pay increase offer. PAY NSW NURSES WHAT THEY DESERVE ✊🏾💪🏾

On this day in 1977, over 200 Land Rights champions gathered at the Black Theatre in Redfern to assert their right to control their land, make their own decisions, and elect their own leaders. Today, we celebrate those champions for their resilience and tenacity.

Today marks the anniversary of unions winning one week's annual leave. It's easy to sometimes take these things for granted; they seem immovable, permanent. A friendly reminder that without the long campaign by union members and their unions, we wouldn't have ANY annual leave ✨

Great news and long overdue recognition of our amazing early childhood teachers and educators. Multi-employer bargaining driven by union members made this happen!!

Positive steps from Jason Clare MP and the federal Anthony Albanese government with increased school funding. But more needs to be done to fully fund all schools and tackle teacher workload ieu.org.au/ieu-speaks-on-…

This is the first government to make good on helping student teachers juggle study and sacrifice other paid work - these paid prac placements will be a huge help. The IEU has been pushing this for years. Well done Jason Clare MP Anthony Albanese
