Bravo👏👏 Katy Gallagher & the federal govt for delivering super on paid parental leave. The super pay gap for women is a huge problem in retirement. This is a vital change for workers in feminised industries like education and will help thousands of IEU members.

Awesome work IEU NSW! 103 preschools now on a path to a collective agreement to help reduce the gender pay gap & rebuild the ECEC workforce. Current federal laws supporting multi-employer bargaining are vital to the future of ECEC Senator Murray Watt David Pocock NSW Dept of Education Adam Bandt

The IEU stands with our public sector colleagues AEU. The Federal Govt must act now to guarantee 100% funding for every state school, anything less would be a terrible failure of public policy Anthony Albanese Jason Clare MP ieu.org.au/wp-content/upl…

We must do everything we can to attract our next generation of student teachers & support them to complete their degree & then stay teaching. Well done Jason Clare MP Anthony Albanese, reducing student debt is part of a broad, long-term plan to rebuild a sustainable teacher workforce

✊🏾 We are proud to be part of the #16DaysOfActivism, the global mobilisation against gender-based violence! We call on governments to 📢 #GoPublic and #FundEducation so that it is inclusive, gender transformative, and free for all 📢 Ratify and implement International Labour Organization Convention190

Positive steps from Jason Clare MP and the federal Anthony Albanese government with increased school funding. But more needs to be done to fully fund all schools and tackle teacher workload ieu.org.au/ieu-speaks-on-…

This is the first government to make good on helping student teachers juggle study and sacrifice other paid work - these paid prac placements will be a huge help. The IEU has been pushing this for years. Well done Jason Clare MP Anthony Albanese

Gender and equity reforms, driven by union campaigns in 2024, will benefit over 50,000 women workers who make up 72% of IEU members across Australia. Read about these important wins for women workers in the latest Ind. Education Union Speaks. ieu.org.au/gender-equity-…
