To address post-harvest losses, this week FAO in Rwanda, IFADEastAfrica & Andrea Bagnoli, with Rwanda Agriculture & Animal Resources Devpt Board, trained 500 farmers in Nyagatare District on maize post-harvest handling, market access, finance and nutrition, boosting #FoodSecurity, income and resource efficiency.

Since receiving new racks, Rose no longer puts her fish on the ground to dry, which allows her to get a higher price for her produce. With the extra income, she has opened a shop & hopes to soon buy a plot of land on which to build her house⬇️ #InvestInRuralPeople
