The 2025 Indiana Public Safety Dive School started on Monday with 20 students representing #IFD (11), Fishers FD (4), Fishers PD (1) and Noblesville FD (5). They will undergo 3 phases of class lasting 8 weeks. A successful student will achieve certification through Dive Rescue

In just 9 days, members of #IFDRecruitClass90 will hit the streets as probationary firefighters after completing 28 weeks of #IFD Recruit Training. We caught up with the class today at the Lebanon Fire Department Training Grounds where the recruits conducted Live Burns over the

last two days. BIG thanks to the City of Lebanon, Indiana and Lebanon Fire Department for allowing us to use your awesome facility.

9:17 AM - Thankfully no serious injuries after 2 vehicles collide in the intersection of 46th St. and Pennsylvania St. #IMPD investigating. #IFD Firefighters arrived to find 2 occupants, a mother and daughter, entrapped in the overturned black GMC Terrain, stabilized the

vehicle and conducted extrication operations. Both occupants were extricated within 15 minutes and transported by #IEMS to Methodist for evaluation. The driver of the other vehicle, an adult female, was also checked on scene and transported for checkout.

#IFD Firefighters showed up BIG at 2 super fun events today with one team breaking a sub making record and scoring a donation to our recognition ceremony and the other showing off their sundae making skills and scoring a few new friends at WIBC. Big thanks to Ladder 6 who

they delivered with their Sundae making skills at the American Dairy Association Indiana 36th Annual Ice Cream Social on Monument Circle. When 93.1 WIBC-FM showed up with a multi sundae order, 2 of the guys helped hand deliver the goods, aprons and all. IFD was proud to

participate in this event alongside our brothers and sisters in blue #IMPD. Strong Work Engine 13!

A 5 year old sleeping boy was rescued by #IFD SQ10 Firefighters after fire broke out in his apartment at 2810 Barbary Lane and forced his mother to evacuate. The woman (32) told IFD she awoke to find heavy black smoke, was unable to reach her child, panicked, evacuated out the

Methodist and Riley hospitals.

Today, #IFD, in partnership with Health and Hospital Corporation, participated in the 25th Annual Covering Kids and Families Back to School Community Resource Day held on the grounds of Marion County Public Health at 3838 N Rural St. The event featured Supplies, Screenings,

Entertainment and the IFD Safety Festival hosted by the Fire and Life Safety Division. Despite the heat, there was so much fun happening, we don't know who enjoyed it more...us or the kids! Stay safe this summer Indy!
