World #barley trade in 2024/25 (Jul/Jun, excluding malt) is expected to decline moderately y/y, reflecting softer #EU and #Chinese #purchases. However, #exports from #Kazakhstan are predicted at above-average levels on stronger demand from #Iran.

Global #rapeseed (#canola) #trade in 2025/26 (Oct/Sep) is projected to fall y/y, amid an anticipated decline in #EU #purchases due to an improved domestic crop. #Chinese #imports are predicted to be broadly unchanged y/y.

#Pakistan’s #rice #production in 2025/26 is projected to be broadly unchanged y/y, but remaining above the near-term average. Recent gains in output are tied to an increase in planted #area and the wider adoption of higher #yielding #hybrid seeds.

Chiefly tied to prospects for accumulation in the #EU, global #oats stocks are predicted to reach a multi-year high in 2025/26. However, #Canada’s #inventories are forecast to remains tight.

With strength in the #Atlantic more than offsetting weaker values in #Asia, timecharter #freight rates in the #grains and #oilseeds carrying sectors were little-changed during the past month, but with values almost one-third lower y/y.
