Between March 26 and 29, 2025, IGENEastAfrica convened a strategic meeting. During the meeting, members discussed priority areas, operational documents, and plans for 2025, among others. This aimed at formalising and strengthening IGEN Tanzania chapter.




On April 16, 2025, IGENEastAfrica will host a green jobs fair at Makerere University to raise awareness among students about green economic opportunities in sustainable energy, agriculture, tourism & forestry. ▶️Attendence is by invitation only

Yesterday, IGENEastAfrica held green jobs fair at Makerere University.The fair attracted over 90 participants. Purpose of the fair was to raise youth awareness of employment opportunities and the potential in key green economic sectors such as forestry,agriculture, clean energy


👩🌾Yesterday, AFIEGO joined IGENEastAfrica to empower Makerere University University students with information on green jobs. 🧑🎓The students were fired up, affirming that jobs that address environmental & climate concerns are important. We will continue to build youth power for green jobs.
