The current budget plan on Capitol Hill would throw 16 million people off their health insurance thanks to Medicaid and Affordable Care Act cuts – which could force 338 hospitals to close down. All to give tax cuts to billionaires.

We won't stop fighting until every worker in Illinois can access the right to collectively bargain for a better life. We wish a peaceful #Juneteenth to all who are honoring today's holiday, and we stand shoulder to shoulder with you in the fight for a more perfect union.

We're proud of Illinois Pride At Work's leadership that is building LGBTQ+ worker power. We loved running into them at Speaker Welch's Equality and Pride fundraiser last night. In IL, we believe that LGBTQ+ rights are workers rights and stand with our siblings all day, every day.

We joined forces with the IL Clean Jobs Coalition to call on the General Assembly to return to Springfield + fund public transit. If we don't act, transit workers will be given pink slips in September and service will be cut by 40%. Sign the petition ▶️ bit.ly/4lcXG6b

At a time of widespread backlash against LGBTQ+ rights, it is especially important that we are leveraging our union power to fight for workplace justice for all workers. Listen to IBEW's Zoe Karns on how her union stands up for equality. bit.ly/4novwGJ

UPDATE 🚨 I just filed an amendment to stop the entire bill in its tracks if any provision would result in workforce reductions, diminished job opportunities, or adverse impacts on collective bargaining rights.
