Congratulations to Max Kellner (PenningerLab) on the completion of his PhD! Max presented his work on molecular virus diagnostics for resource-limited settings and, separately, on modeling host-virus interactions in natural reservoir species using bat organoids.

IMBA and the IMP will soon host a joint research group headed by Sven Klumpe. The structural biologist will join both institutes with an innovative double-affiliation to add cryo-Electron Tomography research on “jumping genes” and other fields to the Vienna BioCenter
