Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas Without the April tariffs, global growth forecast would be fairly similar to that projected in January. Under the tariffs, global growth is projected to slow down significantly but remain above recession levels. Read Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas's blog. imf.org/en/Blogs/Artic…

Central, Eastern, and Southeastern European economies are facing an uncertain policy environment. At a meeting in Dubrovnik I urged regional leaders to close domestic structural reform gaps and support EU-level reforms to boost growth and productivity.

With thanks to Governor Vujčic, we have had two days of fruitful discussion with policymakers in Dubrovnik on how to reinvigorate domestic reforms and deepen Europe’s single market. That is how the region can navigate the current economic weather and unleash its great potential.
