Over the weekend, I played Fabiano Caruana at a local blitz tournament at the Saint Louis Chess Club. This was great practice for the International Chess Federation World Rapid and Blitz Championships which we’ll both be competing in this week in New York City! Learn more and get tickets:

I scored 1.5/5 against GMs in Day 1 of the World Rapid Championship. My one win came in round 2 with a 96% accuracy victory over GM Erenburg. After the game, I was called into the fair-play office for additional screening. Mission accomplished!? Recap video coming soon! 📸
