Today's #FluorescenceFriday features a stunning Swiss Roll of human colon labelled for innervation markers๐จ. This was captured at incredible speed using our @VisiTech_UK iSIM microscope to image 1456 individual tiles, each with 21 Z-Steps! ๐ฌ Work from Matthew Rowe ๐

Congratulations to Ashleigh Gould reaching the faculty 3MT finals! She presented a fantastic short and snappy talk about gut immune cells in Hirschprung Disease! ๐ฉ๐ผโ๐ฌ

Today we feature the Boogeyman who was found hiding in mucus (yellow) in the human colon ๐จ๐ฌ #FluorescenceFriday. Found by Matthew Rowe ๐

Next up for the inaugural Leica Microsystems webinar series we have Ashleigh Gould representing the Integrated Neurogenic Mechanisms Laboratory here Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences talking about hyperspecteal imaging and its use for investigating Hirschsprung disease

Congratulations to Narges Mahdavian ๐งช๐ฌ๐ for receiving a Cornerstone Award and Grant for her PhD research! ๐ฌFantastic work! ๐

A huge congratulations to Dr Nathan Nguyen who graduated yesterday! Well done Nathan!

Great to see an INM presence at the VIIN Young Investigator Symposium today! Look out for their talks and posters throughout the day! Ashleigh Gould Nathan Nguyen Matthew Rowe

Such an important day for raising awareness of #RareDisease like EB! In Integrated Neurogenic Mechanisms Laboratory Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences we are proud to work with DEBRA Australia EB Research Partnership and Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) to research the underlying mechanisms of EB pain, in the hope of developing new, safe analgesics for EB kids

Congratulations to Narges Mahdavian ๐งช๐ฌ๐ for receiving an ENS_Development Young Investigator Award! ๐

Gut Analysis Toolbox (GAT) is out on J Cell Science. A special moment as its my first senior author paper. Thanks to all the coauthors! especially Dan Poole Dr Simona Carbone A/Prof Nik Veldhuis for their support & encouragement. So great to see this out! ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ Congratulations Pradeep R. This was a huge effort (with many international collaborators) to develop an image analysis toolbox that Iโm certain will support many researchers in the neuro-gastro community ANGMA Integrated Neurogenic Mechanisms Laboratory Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Having a blast at Little Brain Big Brain, I have already learnt so much and am excited to keep the discussions going over the next few days. Thanks for having me Little Brain Big Brain and to the wonderful organisers (Kristen, Ada, Alain, Khalil, Alyce) for such a great meeting so far.

Today I had the opportunity to present my PhD work at the #APMC13 conference in Brisbane, where I talked about my approach to automate image analysis of goblet cells. ๐ฌ๐จ Looking forward to the rest of the conference and thanks to all the organisers!
