This is excellent from Emma O'Kelly (as always). A clear layout of the issues. And a clear understanding that the CAO is the real problem.

The Dept of Education (Department of Education and Youth) would like to point out that AI is probably already being used, and they're ok with that.

Curriculum changes of any great magnitude are normally piloted in a number of schools prior to their wider introduction but for these reforms a decision was taken to skip this piloting phase. Norma Foley characterised this as an "acceleration" of the plans rte.ie/news/education…

And yet secondary teachers, students, principals and parents still await those elusive AI guidelines from the Department of Education for those subjects which will have AACs worth 40% from this September. They were promised these guidelines months ago. #edchatie
