IOM, with funding from Norway MFA, has completed the repairs of the 100-year-old Orlove outpatient clinic in Kherson region. The building was damaged by Russian shelling in spring 2022. Learn more in our video👇

The first Mental Health Centre has opened in Vinnytsia. Veterans & displaced people will be able to receive psychosocial support on their path to recovery here. Funded by Посольство Японії в Україні, IOM provided the centre with the necessary technical & multimedia equipment & furniture.

"The survivors' voices must be heard." That was the key message at a recent session on reparations and survivor assistance in Odesa, organized by IOM, Swiss Embassy Kyiv & UN Action. 40+ NGOs, officials & activists defending the rights of war-related violence survivors attended the event.

“Even in wartime, you have to enjoy life, & today was such a day for me,” says Liudmyla, a veteran who took part in a clay modelling workshop led by IOM & funded by EU in Ukraine. During the session, IOM psychologists helped veterans process their emotions by working with clay.


“I was even scared of birds. I would drop to the ground thinking it was a drone,” recalls Nataliia, who fled to Vinnytsia from Ukrainsk, Donetsk region. IOM, thanks to Norway MFA, provided the family with repair items, food, basic necessities & chickens to help them start over.



“Horses help veterans feel the breath of life again,” says Andrii, a veteran & the head of a veterans' organization. He took part in the facilitators of equine-assisted events, organized by IOM & EU in Ukraine in Odesa to utilize these skills to help other veterans.


📚 In Pashkivka, Kyiv region, a school shelter has been fully renovated thanks to 🇧🇪 Belgium MFA. It now provides a safe space for children to continue learning during air raids. 🎥 Watch more:

Funded by Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, IOM developed a 3-day course for the 🇺🇦 State Migration Service staff on counter-trafficking. Participants gained skills to identify survivors of human trafficking, refer them for support & lead awareness sessions on the topic. IOMNordics


“Having enough laptops is critical—we manage data and support vulnerable people faster now,” says Inna, from the Resilience Centre in Rivne, western 🇺🇦. With funding from Swiss Embassy Kyiv UN Action, IOM also delivered laptops & flashlights to Centres in Zaporizhzhia and Poltava region.
