International Republican Institute VP, Scott Mastic visits #Ghana to launch IRI Africa POLA program and meet key stakeholders. Dep. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chair of Ghana Electoral Commission, CSO partners & the Presidency.


In April, IRI conducted three trainings for civil society organizations in Mzimba, Salima, and Mwanza, Malawi on local government processes such as the functions, financing, and development planning of local councils, as well as the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).International Republican Institute




Thanks to all who joined the USAID-funded @cepps (IFES Africa, NDI Africa Team, Internews, and CIPE Africa) Ethiopia #internationaldayofdemocracy event, including the National Election Board of Ethiopia- NEBE, to discuss the importance of inclusion in democracy and how to strengthen inclusion in Ethiopia.



.IRI Africa Ghana under the USAID West Africa funded POLA brings another edition indicating voter turnout in Ghana from 1992. Interestingly anytime voter turnout drops from the previous year, the govt in power looses the election.
