Findings from our research indicate that Schools in Kampala Metropolitan Area utilize the Internet largely for administrative management, according to our study. We also found other uses like ICT lessons, communication with parents, online research, and security surveillance.

Our research study, supported by Internet Society Foundation's Beyond The Net Program, reveals that increased costs significantly limit Internet access in KMA schools, impacting both teaching and learning. Addressing these costs is crucial for digital inclusion. #Internet4All

Our research recommends: Internet Access & Affordability Fund establishment, Establishing and increasing Education Internet Packages, 💻 ICT Equipment Grants, 🧑‍🏫 Capacity Building, ➕ ICT in Primary Curriculum, and promoting🏘️ Community Networks to boost Internet use in schools!

Dianah Asiimwe from RENU reports that they're increasing Internet access in Uganda by: 1) Using solar-powered routers to provide free eduroam WiFi in student areas like hostels, and 2) Giving eduroam-on-the-go devices to staff for nationwide connectivity. #Internet4All
