Arthur "Cotton" Berndt to Indiana Football: "Well, what are you waiting for, Pilgrim! Go get Ohio State Football!" Indiana Hoosiers Hall of Famer Berndt won 8 letters in 3 sports between 1908-1911; captained 3 sports, went on to coach, Athletics Director, Mayor of Btown, 1935-38

In 2023, work began to digitize the 1930s-1940s issues of the Indiana Daily Student, pages previously available only as microfiche at Herman B Wells Library. Those articles are now available worldwide thanks to efforts by IU Libraries’ University Archives and Digital Collections Services!
