I graduated from fellowship! I would not be where I am without my dad. An amazing ophthalmologist in his own right, he is my hero. What a gift to have him be able to come to my graduation dinner and hear how well his son has done. He is a proud papa right now!

Second graduation post: Got to include my mom too! I also want to highlight my wife and daughter. They are my pride and joy. To be able to parent this brilliant kid with my wife, an amazing physician scientist, is a dream come true.

Third graduation post: thankful for my mentor BlakelyMD. To find a mentor who fiercely believes in my potential like Dr Pickett-Blakely is a surreal experience. I strive to be more like her in my clinical practice everyday.

Lastly, I had no idea what to expect when I started July 2021 re my GI fellowship class. Would we be cordial? The answer: we became family. We formed bonds that are going to last a lifetime. We are going to root for each other everyday. A gift I was afraid to hope for. Love you!!

Really disappointed in the amount of ego that can surface from us doctors in the patient-doctor relationship. It’s really upsetting. And that’s all I will say about that.
