We deal with linear inverse problems and basically we show that one can solve lin eqs Ax=b by (Bregman-)Kaczmarz methods even if you never see b but only noisy perturbations. How is this possible? Our method is "heuristic adaptive RSK" below… 2/7

New fundraiser to support 25 Nigerian students to attend Deep Learning Indaba in September! 🌍 In 2022 we supported 8 Nigerian students to attend Indaba. This year we are raising $20k to support 25(!) of them to travel to Senegal for likely the most important career event in their lives!

My group has multiple openings both for PhD and Post-doc positions to work in the area of optimization for ML, and deep learning theory. We are looking for people with a strong theoretical background (degree in math, theoretical physics or CS with strong theory emphasis).
