We performed the largest GWAS of hot flashes to date. Remarkably, the top locus lies in the TACR3 gene, which codes for a receptor critical for the generation of hot flashes. Co-author Crandall first discovered this locus, which is now incredibly significant (p=3.4e-40). 3/10
