We just finalized our study w. M.Hust and Pan-Hammarström lab on #Omicron #SARSCoV2 #RBD. Surprisingly, Omicron binding to ACE2 is not stronger than in the WT Wuhan virus. If anything it is weaker. Antibody binding is attenuated, however. Full paper @ tinyurl.com/yckt9s8b

Our new MS is on biorxiv.org/content/10.110…. We show that CMV is latent in many cell types in mice, but PDGFRa+ fibroblasts are the major site. More surprisingly and different from other herpesviruses, this is simultaneously a major site of viral lytic replication as well. 1/2
