Our school PTA/PTO presidents and representatives met for the last Keeping it Real of the year. Superintendent Dr. V informed them of the latest District happenings before summer break. We are thankful to our parents for their partnership!

Congratulations to all Rockwall High School students who received a Board of Trustee medal, recognition or scholarship and the end of the year awards ceremony. In total, our RHS seniors earned more than $300,00 worth of local scholarships alone.

The Board of Trustees held a special session to administer the Oath of Office to newly elected board members. Dr. Sherry Packer (Place 1), Frank Conselman (Place 2), and Grant DuBois (Place 3). Linda Mitchell Duran, who is retiring, was honored for her years of service.

.Rockwall-Heath HS Infiniti A Cappella Choir and the RockwallHighSchool Walk the Line A Capella Choir advanced to the International Championship of High School A Cappella Finals competition in New York City on April 28. Infiniti Choir finished in 2nd and Walk the Line Choir placed 4th!

Approx. 35,000 students compete in the TX Art Educators Assoc. Visual Art Scholastic Event each year. RHS: McKinley M., Laney B., Clark S., Mia M., Maddy B. earned gold medals. RHHS: Phavain D. earned a gold medal. Taylor S., Sarah T.,Nicholas J. earned gold seals, the top honor.

Led by advisors Dori Brown and Alisha Bridges, 23 Dr. Gene Burton College & Career Academy students competed against more than 6,000 students at DECA State Conference. Three seniors won State Finalist and two advanced as International Qualifiers competing at the DECA International Competition in Anaheim, CA.

The Rockwall-Heath HS Black Hawk Robotics Team 3310, competed against 86 teams in the state at the 2024 UIL First Robotics Championship in Houston. Team 3310 won 2nd place in their event, placing them 9th in Texas. This qualified 3310 to compete in the World Championship! Way to go!

.RockwallHighSchool Full Metal Jackets Booster Club, led by coaches David Smith and Melissa Bunch, earned 14th place in state rankings, advancing to the UIL 2024 First Robotics World Championship. Mr. Smith earned the prestigious Woodie Flowers finalist title for his invaluable guidance and mentorship.
