Our 9 zero N paddocks grew 118, 90, 80, 80, 100, 110, 60, 60 & 80 yesterday. Makes you wonder at times where some of this nitrogen & clover advice is coming from 🤷‍♂️

Brendan Walsh Onto their 4th zero chemical N paddock in a row. This particular paddock had a growth rate of 115 kg DM ha from Monday 21st April to Mon 28th, one round of slurry in Feb and 0-7-30 in March is all it got. The other 3 zero N paddocks grew 68, 108 and 120. Average farm growth of 88

Great to see SETU PhD researcher Evan Hickey and supervisor Dr Andrew Harrington installing bat boxes at Teagasc Kildalton this week. Evan will use DNA methods to ID species, count bats, and study diets. Thanks to Brian Clancy for the tour and support.

Prof Peter McLoughlin signing off on his last Faculty of Science and Computing meeting South East Technological University ahead of his retirement in August. Peter set up the PMBRC with colleagues in 2008 and has been instrumental in the growth of the centre over the years. He will be missed by all!
